There’s always a building excitement as we get closer to our events, and that's certainly the case for our Annual Partner Conference, which takes place in just a couple of weeks.

What I love about our events is the opportunity they bring to connect with our partners and the wider community; this event is no different. Hosted across two days at Twickenham Stadium, we have plenty planned, including a Women in Tech panel discussion, which I want to shed more light on today.

Women in Tech panel

As I’m sure you’re aware, the cybersecurity and tech sectors are heavily male-dominated, and the percentage of women in - and joining - the industry is low. A report released last year stated that only 17% of the cyber sector’s workforce is female, which shows we have a way to go. This being said, there are incredible women in the industry, leading the way in their fields and demonstrating that there's no reason why the cyber and tech sectors aren’t a great career choice for women.

What is important is representation and having a platform to showcase diversity. For our Women in Tech panel, I have four fantastic female leaders joining me:

  • Vicky Cartwright, Director of Marketing, CyberSmart
  • Julie Bishop, CEO, IT Naturally
  • Jasmine Eskenzi, Founder and CEO, The Zensory
  • Emma Nordström, People and Culture Director, Heimdal

During the session, we'll discuss important cybersecurity issues, and I'll ask the panel key questions. The panellists, who bring a wealth of expertise and experience to the table, will discuss everything from the current cybersecurity challenges we face and how to adapt to the changing landscape to their firsthand experiences as women in the industry.

I look forward to hosting this panel discussion, and I'm proud to represent strong leaders and individuals in our community. Make sure you don’t miss it!
