Brigantia Partners Ltd is pleased to announce that Sales Director, Angus Shaw, is one of the three finalists in the highly prestigious CompTIA 2020 UK Spotlight Awards under the Channel Changer category. Channel changers are young professionals who are making their mark within a CompTIA member company, have shown success or originality as an entrepreneur, or have made an industry impact in some other demonstrable way.
Since the management buyout of Brigantia from Techgate plc in 2016 26 year old Shaw has been the driving force behind turning the business into an award-winning, value-added managed services distributor providing a comprehensive range of cyber-security solutions complemented by secure, enterprise-class data communications and cloud services.
Shaw has brought some tech start-up style to the distribution channel. He has strived to change the perceived reputation of traditional distribution by delivering a true value add for Brigantia’s vendor and channel partner community. He looks to find unique next generation technologies and then promotes them based on being best in breed as opposed to being well known names. Shaw truly believes in selling the best of the next generation of vendor services.
Responsible for recruiting, training and developing the constantly growing and highly dynamic sales and marketing team at Brigantia, Shaw also works closely with all the next generation vendors selected to provide the highly focused layered approach to cybersecurity that has proven so popular within the channel. A great believer in open communications and action, Shaw expects all enquiries responded to quickly and takes a very high degree of personal responsibility to ensure that this ethos is maintained.
Having exceeded all targets and goals set by the Brigantia Board during the first five years of the business, Shaw was recently promoted Sales Director. His growth plan for the second five years will see Brigantia become a £25 million annual recurring revenue business employing over 50 people in both Yorkshire and London.
