We’ve just concluded our debut exhibition at Infosecurity Europe 2024. Infosec is Europe's leading cybersecurity event, so it was a milestone for us to exhibit among the industry's best and brightest.
We were proud to share our stand with Heimdal and Sendmarc, two of our brilliant vendor partners. Together, we spent three action-packed days showcasing Brigantia, connecting with peers and discussing the hottest topics in cybersecurity.
These were some of the highlights from the event:
Connecting with MSPs
First and foremost, we are committed to MSP partners. We're here to add value for them through our knowledge and carefully selected vendor portfolio. So, it was a real treat to connect with so many MSPs throughout the three days.
Some were browsing, while some had specific queries. Whatever their priorities, engaging with the MSP community is the most important thing we do. It's also an opportunity to showcase just how MSP-friendly our vendors are. We made a lot of great connections.
Connecting with businesses
It’s not just industry insiders at Infosec – we spoke to a host of professionals from other sectors looking to learn more about how they can protect their businesses.
Ultimately, these are the people and organisations we work to protect. Hearing their concerns and fielding their questions will always be important to what we do. Meeting so many business leaders who treat cybersecurity with the seriousness it deserves was heartening.
Insights from Heimdal
Our partnership with Heimdal is one of our most enduring. Over the years, we have seen and helped them grow into one of Europe's leading cybersecurity vendors. Many of their team members joined us, and they added real value to the stand.
There were too many Heimdal highlights to list them all, but one standout moment came from Technical Success Manager, Imran Rai. He executed a live ransomware attack in a brilliant demo by running a command to encrypt files. He then reran it with Heimdal's ransomware detection switched on. It instantly blocked the attack, reported it, and mapped its origin.
This was a vivid demonstration of how effective Heimdal is.
All about DMARC with our friends at Sendmarc
From one of our longest-standing vendors to our newest. Since launching in the UK through Brigantia, Sendmarc has made an accurate impression on the channel by providing an efficient, effective way of managing DMARC. This has become one of our industry's most hotly discussed topics, and Sendmarc is a world-leading expert.
Sacha Matulovich, Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer gave a talk while other team members (Elliot Wilkie, our Sendmarc Product Specialist) demoed the platform and fielded questions.
DMARC was one of Infosec's most significant talking points, so showcasing such a robust, channel-friendly solution was excellent.
Francis West: Scaring is Caring
Francis West, CEO of Westtek and Security Everywhere, also joined us. Francis is a brilliant cybersecurity ambassador who brought all his enthusiasm and charisma to a talk titled “Scaring is Caring”.
This differed from the usual because it mainly focused on personal cybersecurity hygiene. Francis covered many tips, from two-factor authentication on Uber accounts to a simple tip to block SIM cloning.
This was an eye-opening talk; even seasoned professionals learned a few lessons. Francis made a valuable point: "Cybersecurity is about layers; the more you have, the better protected you are”, which is an excellent summary of our approach.
