We're thrilled to have teamed up with Rootshell, a provider of next-generation vulnerability management for MSPs.

To celebrate the partnership and highlight the opportunity for MSPs, on 5th September, we co-hosted a webinar with Rootshell on advanced vulnerability management.

Rootshell – an introduction

Rootshell's vendor-agnostic platform: Prism, is revolutionising vulnerability management. Rootshell provides MSPs with the ability to deliver an in-depth risk assessment of their customers' networks and infrastructure by performing penetrating testing, vulnerability scanning, and using a single, centralised management tool. The Prism platform provides increased visibility, allowing MSPs and their customers to prioritise, track, and resolve issues.

The webinar

Our Sales Director, Angus Shaw, was joined by Rootshell's Global SVP of Strategy Alliances, Steve Smith, and Chris Shallcross, Head of Presales, as they demonstrated the key features of Prism and discussed the benefits for MSPs.

We were thrilled to have Steve and Chris walk us through the powerful scanning tools available in Prism, as well as the advanced ways in which Rootshell is assisting MSPs in providing effective, collaborative vulnerability management.

If you were unable to attend the live webinar, you can view it on our website by clicking here.

Highlights

The webinar provided an excellent firsthand look at the operation of Prism. The webinar introduced us to Rootshell and their services, as well as a description of the Prism scanning service, which was accompanied by a brief demonstration.

This was followed by a discussion of the key benefits of Rootshell's product, as well as a look ahead to their attendance at the Annual Partner Day on 12th October, which will give MSPs the opportunity to learn more about Rootshell's security services. Among the questions and answers discussed during the webinar are:

  • From a partner perspective, is there a deal registration programme or a way to protect partners’ end clients?

Yes. Simply head to www.brigantia.com/dealreg.

  • Questionnaires: are there some templates that can be used around best practice?

With the questionnaire functionality, you can set up your own questionnaires using the template builder. These can be easily filled out, shared, and even cloned for renewals. This streamlines workflows and ensures that the initial data provided by clients is accurate and appropriate, leading to better-quality results.

Additional topics covered

  • What is the main focus of the Prism platform?

The Prism platform primarily serves MSPs and offers benefits tailored to their needs. MSPs and their customers can track remediation and stay up to date with security risks. The platform also supports pen testing services and allows users to view all security testing results in one place.

  • How does Prism address challenges in vulnerability scanning?

Prism addresses these challenges through a client-centric service, assistance in remediation, performance tracking, intelligent conversations, and building stronger client relationships. Reports can be generated at any time and can reflect the status of remediation efforts. This enables clients to demonstrate progress or proof of fixes to relevant stakeholders.

  • What are some of the advanced features of the Prism platform?

Prism offers advanced features such as automation, integration with other tools, and the ability to ingest data from various sources, making it highly customisable. It also offers a secure file exchange feature, which allows for the secure sharing of documents, network diagrams, and other context-related files within the platform. This reduces the risk of information getting lost or deleted in email systems. Flexibility is a key feature of Prism, emphasizing that the MSP can deliver as much or as little information to end clients as required.

  • What partner benefits does Prism offer for vulnerability management?

Partner benefits of using Prism for vulnerability management include value for clients, license options, opportunities for additional services, strengthened client relationships, flexible packages, and support.

To summarise, Prism offers a managed scanning service that provides a clear and visual representation of vulnerabilities and security risks, allows for easy tracking of remediation progress, and ensures that security risks are always up to date.

We would like to thank everyone who attended the webinar and participated. Steve and Chris fielded some excellent questions and provided insightful answers, providing MSPs with a clear picture of the product and all it has to offer. Rootshell will be present at our Annual Partner Day and encourage MSPs to contact them for more information. If you have any questions, please call the office, or send an email to partnersupport@brigantia.com.
